Energia Arena

We designed the Vantaa Energy Arena to serve indoor sports and competitive athletics with versatile, modern, and functional facilities. Additionally, the capacity and equipment of the hall's audience services and restaurant facilities enable the organization of large-scale events. The arena hosts various sports events and public gatherings, such as national and club matches for different indoor ball sports, company and association events, fairs, exhibitions, and concerts.

Located close to excellent transportation links, the Energy Arena serves the entire Helsinki metropolitan area. During the day, the arena is used by schools and kindergartens in Vantaa. In the evenings, it serves a wide range of users providing sufficient changing and showering facilities.

The telescopic stands increase the hall’s flexibility significantly. The electronically movable stands offer 2600 seats, with a maximum capacity of 3400 spectators. The hall’s clear height is 12,5 meters, and the floor area of the field is approximately 2 500 square meters, allowing for the simultaneous placement of – for example – three floorball fields. The high-quality flooring is suitable for many sports, and different surface coverings can be used to adapt the floor for each sport.

We paid special attention to natural lighting conditions in the Energy Arena. During the day, the hall is bathed in abundant natural light that enters through its large windows. Users engaging in physical activity in good natural light find the exercise particularly refreshing, and the natural light also encourages athletes to perform more energetically. The technical systems enable the hall to be darkened easily. Which facilitates television and radio broadcasts of events.
